Welcome to Paddington Art Prize 2008

Welcome to the PADDINGTON ART PRIZE 2010, a $20,000 acquisitive prize for a painting inspired by the Australian Landscape. This National prize now in its seventh year will be held in OCTOBER.
The National Finalists Exhibition Opening and Prize Presentation
Wednesday 13th October 6pm-8pm, at
MENZIES ART BRANDS GALLERY.

Non Aquisitive Prizes
In addition the UNSW COLLEGE OF FINE ARTS will offer a selected artist the opportunity to create a limited edition print, plus MENZIES ART BRANDS will present a prize of Art Supplies to the value of $500 to each of the two recipients of the Honourable Mentions.

We are offering artists the opportunity to enter their painting or paintings via disc or by delivering their painting to MENZIES ART BRANDS GALLERY, 12 Todman Ave Kensington Sydney N.S.W 2033. from 9am-5pm.on the dates listed below. Please note there are separate dates associated with these two methods of entry. There is a limit of two paintings per artist with an entry fee of $45-00 for a single entry or $80-00 for two entries.

Entry Method 1 : DISC ENTRY

PRESENTATION of DISC ENTRIES: Please supply you disc with either 1 or 2 images only on the disk. Images should be a minimum of 1000 x 750 pixels @ 72 dpi. File size of each image should not should not exceed 1mb. File name/s should correspond with the title of the work/s on the entry form. Discs will not be returned unless a stamped addressed envelope/package is included.

CLOSING DATE for DISC ENTRIES: Wednesday 1st September. All entries must be accompanied by the signed and witnessed application form together with the entry fee.

JUDGING of DISC ENTRIES: Tuesday 14th September. ONLY successful applicants will be notified on Wednesday15 September.

SUCCESSFUL DISC ENTRIES: Paintings MUST be delivered to MENZIES ART BRANDS GALLERY on Wednesday 6th October between 9am/5pm

Entry Method 2: PAINTING DELIVERY

PAINTING DELIVERY DATES: Tuesday 5th October and Wednesday 6th October 9am-5pm to MENZIES ART BRANDS GALLERY.

JUDGING: Thursday 7th October. ONLY successful applicants will be notified.
Judges are to be confirmed.

COLLECTION of NON FINALIST'S PAINTINGS: Friday 8th, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th October. 10am-5pm.
Professional Art Removalists ONLY Monday 11th October, 10am - 5pm.

Exhibition and Prize Giving

EXHIBITION OF NATIONAL FINALISTS: Opening and Prize Presentation, Wednesday 13th October 6pm-8pm. MENZIES ART BRANDS GALLERY. Exhibition current until Sunday 24th October.

It is recommended that entry forms with payment be posted prior to delivery of works as this will greatly speed up the delivery process. Posted entry forms must be received no later than Monday 4th October.

Alternatively entry forms may be submitted together with the artworks at the time of delivery, though this will involve a longer process.
